Re: WHU team Vs WBA
I would keeep the same team, but as Eddie has drop Ayew and bring in Chicharito. Ayew was not great and missed the penalty, Chicharito go an assist and should get the nod in front of Ayew. I would also like to bring Noble in, but I will leave on the bench for the Spurs game.

Adrian
Collins Ogbonna, Cresswell
Zabaleta, Obiang, Kouyate, Masuaku
Lanzini
Arnautovic, Chicharito

Re: WHU team Vs WBA
Reid has to come back and Rice too.

Cresswell is shockingly bad and Zabaleta is all over the place. The organised defensive play before the Newcastle game has disappeared again and chaos reigns once more.

I fully expect us not to win this one as the Baggies are long due a result.

No way would i keep Obiang and Kouyate in the middle together. They've been a disaster when played as a pair.

Re: WHU team Vs WBA
surely as this is Jan 2nd fixture...we'd have bought and registered a decent RB, LB ,Centre half and Central midfielder by then who'd be eligible ?? all of which should have been lined up weeks ago as it has been all too apparent since we were gubbed by a German 4th tier team in pre season.

Re: WHU team Vs WBA
We could drop Cresswell for a back 3 of Collins, Reid, Ogbonna, which looks better on paper.
I think Eddie is harsh on Obiang and Kouyate, who have had some good periods of play together, especially with Kouyate playing further forward and Obiang staying back to cover the defense. Having said that I think we have lost all recent games with those 2 starting? I want Noble fully fit for Spurs... He is playing well this year and not getting much recognition in the famous WHO analysis

If Moyes plays Ayew AGAIN, then what does that say about his ambition ?

Re: WHU team Vs WBA
Defend well against the big guns, but having to get on the front foot against teams we should be picking up points against is a problem. Its the way the team shapes up to attack, Antonio is a miss, but also getting players forward exposes our fragility at the back without having the 2 midfielders screen...

How about sticking Kouyate in at CB?

Re: WHU team Vs WBA
I really cannot stand Ayew as a footballer. I am not even sure if he is a footballer, let alone what position he plays. He's just not very good and how he is playing at PL level is beyond me. I just can't bear watching him.

And yet he's our top scorer this season. Which is heartbreaking in itself.

Re: WHU team Vs WBA
If Antonio and Noble are fit and we have Spurs 48 hours later would go with a more attack minded team as it is our best chance for points. Will be interesting how he will juggle the team with 3 games in 5 days!

Forgot about Lanzini, and rather save Antonio to use his pace to stretch Spurs

Tough game, we usually struggle against West Brom & Rondon is exactly the type of player that has been causing us issues.

Re: WHU team Vs WBA
Think we may struggle as we only seem to pose constant threat from the wide areas and with most of the time 4 centre backs across the back 4 crosses are the one thing WBA can deal with all day long

I'm sure I must have seen worse midfield pairings in the C&B, but none spring to mind. As for stupider ?. Never.
